The soundtrack of DEEP IN THE HEART (OF TEXAS) is dedicated to Texas musician Walter Hyatt, who was killed in the Valu-Jet plane crash in 1996.

Filmmaker Stephen Purvis was an admirer and friend of Hyatt and decided to honor his memory with a great soundtrack of Texas artists.
Many of the artists listed below often performed on stage in conjunction with the play, In The West. A soundtrack of the movie will be released by Records.
